You can create your own custom roles, set their permissions and choose exactly what sections different user roles can reach in the WordPress admin. A user reported that she can't change the author from the post edit screen when the Toolset Access plugin is active.
Guided that this issue is already reported and a fix for this is covered in the upcoming release of the Toolset Access plugin.
