I am trying to: use theme options in Content Templates in sites that use Toolset Layouts

When using Toolset Blocks the options are there, however when keeping Toolset Views and Layouts the Theme Options for Content Templates do not show up.

As this is an older site (working on localhost right now) in order to avoid issues I did not want to change the plugin and followed this:

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I'm not sure if you are aware that Toolset Layouts plugin is added to maintenance mode and we do not encourage users to use it as we will only offer hotfix when required and not going to add any new feature.

I suggest you should disable the Layouts plugin and instead create content template to display your single post:

Well, I was obviously tired when I posted last night because I shared the wrong link however I think you've missed almost everything else.

I am using content templates, even though it's an older site.

I mentioned we were using Content Templates already multiple times in the first post. The problem we are running into is that Theme Options don't show up in Content Templates

I did just find this thread: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/theme-options-not-visible-for-content-template/

Sounds like Theme Options cannot be used for Content Templates when Layouts is an active plugin? We have some stuff on the site built with Toolset going back many years so I'm trying to make sure we remain backward compatible.

Yes - that's correct but theme options related to Layouts.

You should just deactivate the Layouts plugins and here is the Doc that shows the integrated themes with Toolset while using content template:

Related Docs that might help you:
- https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/using-toolset-with-generatepress-theme/
- https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/using-toolset-with-oceanwp-theme/

Please note that we have limited integration so you should not expect full and 1:1 integration as you can see with above docs there will be integration with those limited theme options.

I suggest best option for you to explore with such themes and related options and its capabilities:

You can use our free test platform http://www.discover-wp.com and use any of our reference site that is build on top using Toolset features.

This will allow you to create a test site or our free test platform: http://www.discover-wp.com
- https://discover-wp.com/site-templates/

In addition to that - if you want to install any of our reference site we offer on http://www.discover-wp.com on your local machine or server, you can use the framework installer plugin:

Once you create test site using any of the reference site on your local machine or server - you can add your additional plugins or theme(s) that will allow you to paly with it and test.

By following this path you will have hand-on experience about how you can implement the functionality using Toolset's theme integration with the theme you decide to play with and check the existing features of the current theme integration.

you can also try to follow any of the course we offer:
