Problem:
We're using the former wp-types (free) plugin.
We'd like proceeding to use Toolset and wonder what we should buy.
We've as options PRESENTATION Vs INTERACTIVE
Solution:
The difference is in what plugins you can access, and for how many sites you can get updates/support.
If previously you used only Types and Views, no Forms or Access, then the Toolset Presentation would fit, as long you need this only on one site.
If you need it on more than one site, or you need Forms or Access, then the Toolset Interactive would be better.
You can create lists of your contents already with Toolset Presentation, and also maintain and add custom contents (in the backend)
Solution:
You can use the Conditional Block.
The logic is the same as for the Conditional HTML and the GUI to control its settings is very familiar to the older ShortCode producing GUI.
Set the Filter to your taxonomy like I've chosen Categories, and then choose "Set by the page where this View is shown"
When you now complete the Loop of this View and show it on a Post it'll get the taxonomy of that post, and display only posts with the same taxonomy term
This is best used in a Content Template, which you can assign to a bunch of single posts, so you do not have to insert this View in each and every single Post.
