Topic Tag: Controlling access to front-end content
Access plugin allows you to limit front-end read access to specific pages, posts or custom types and define who will be able to access that content. It also provides the functionality to set access control for specific blocks inside page content, in order to place texts that are visible to or hidden from certain user types.
When you ask for help or report issues, make sure to tell us on which content and user types you are trying to apply access control.
Problem: I would like to adjust permissions and access for Forms, but I cannot find the Access Control menu item under the main Toolset menu in wp-admin.
Solution: Access Control is part of a separate plugin called Toolset Access. Install and activate the Toolset Access plugin to enable Access Control.
Problem: When I use a toolset_access shortcode to restrict specific content, the contents are formatted incorrectly. Additional paragraph tags and line breaks are added unnecessarily, breaking the markup structure and font formatting.
Solution: Use the raw attribute on the toolset_access shortcode to prevent additional markup and formatting elements from being added to the contents.
Problem: I have an edit post Form in an unassigned Content Template. When I try to display a link to edit the post in my single post template, no link is displayed.
Solution: Check the post author to confirm it is set appropriately, and confirm the Form permissions settings per User Role in Toolset > Access Control, in the Toolset Forms tab.
