I am trying to: Create an Image Slider from a Field Group New Releases
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: Nothing to show since I can't create the slider
I expected to see: Created a new Post Selected View - Content Source Field Group New Releases - No Filters or queries - Selected Image slider - Post Source Shows Current New Release but Source where Field Group New Releases should appear is blank - No Field group shown
Instead, I got: Functionality Slider not working
Hi,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
I looked through the website, but couldn't find the content template or the view that is used in your screenshot.
Can you please share the link to the page where you'd like to show this image slider? I'll be able to share the next steps, accordingly.
regards,
Waqar
The Templates are in Posts - we use Elementor and this way we can easily integrate it in the Pages made by Elementor
So for example in the Template Grid View New Releases or in any other Template I don't have the ability to make a slider
Thank you for sharing these details.
For what you're trying to achieve the 'Image Slider' block, won't work.
That block can be used when a single custom field is set to have multiple images and the slider needs to be created from those images.
You need a slider that can show single images from multiple 'New Releases' posts. For this, you can create a view that uses a classic editor:
https://toolset.com/documentation/legacy-features/views-plugin/creating-sliders-with-types-and-views/
To enable the classic views, you can follow these steps:
1. Please go to WP Admin > Toolset > Settings > General and select the option "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build" for the "Editing Experience".
2. After that, you'll see the option to add classic views from WP Admin > Toolset > Views.
The documentation on using the classic views is available at:
https://toolset.com/documentation/legacy-features/views-plugin/
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views/
Once a classic view has been created, you can use it inside any Toolset or Element template, through the 'wpv-view' shortcode:
