Hello guys,

We use Pro (Themeco) and we can create Global Blocks with our theme.

Using this tool we have created Global Blocks that we've used in our WooCommerce Product Descriptions. This allow us to have a block that, for example, describe the brand of the product. We can then re-use this block on different products of the same brand. When we want to make changes to the block, it is updated for all the different products at once.

We have however to put the blocks manually and we would like to be more clever about this. Our goal would be that if the product is in category "X", then block "X" is added in the description. We may also want to use attributes, so if the product has the attribute "Y", then block "Y" is added.

Is there an approach to achieve this with Toolset, maybe using a custom View?

If you could put me on the right path that would be fantastic!

Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

For this kind of conditional automation or display, you can use "Conditional Block" in your product post's content template.

Here are some useful guides on the topic of content templates and conditional block:
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-templates-to-display-custom-posts/
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/using-toolset-conditional-block/

As a result, your actual content template will be the same for all product posts, but the enclosed blocks can be made to show/hide based on the set conditions.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.

regards,
Waqar
