hi, out of some reason i don't see neither the 'projects' CP nor any field group nor custom fields. just the wordpress standard ones.
when testing toolset on a project's page, everything works
i went through pretty much all available documentation, added the toolset-config.json to the root of the theme (astra).
could you point me into any direction that i have overlooked?
the single looks like that: hidden link
the sidebar is written out for a presentation but should now be dynamic according to which project is showing.
appreciate any help /malik
Hi,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
I'm afraid, I couldn't understand exactly what is missing from your website. Can you please share temporary admin login details, along with the details about what you expected after adding the "toolset-config.json" file and what are the results, instead?
I'll be in a better position to guide you with the next steps, accordingly.
Note: Your next reply will be private and it is recommended to make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.
regards,
Waqar
hello Waqar,
it's actually very simple: toolset doesn't work on my sidebars, neither the astra custom sidebar (override sidebar main) nor the sidebar main itself (screenshots).
whereas toolset does work on a post/CPT content section (screenshot back- and frontend).
the toolset-config.json i copied because of 'Adding custom type compatibility to your theme' in https://toolset.com/documentation/beyond-pages-program/adding-custom-type-compatibility-to-your-theme/ -- just in case this was the reason for not functioning.
all custom fields are set to 'show on posts and side-bars' (screenshot)
i hope i was clearer this time
thanks in advance /malik
I should give you private access to the site but wp wants an email address for confirmation.
Thank you for sharing these details and you can use any email address for creating this temporary admin user account.
We'll just need the username and the password.
Note: I've set your next reply as private again.
Thank you for sharing these details.
Reviewing your website's setup and the screenshot, I understand that you're referring to using the dynamic source settings in Toolset blocks, within the widgets section.
Currently, Toolset's dynamic source feature is not supported in the widgets section and you can read more about our plans for integration with WordPress' "full site editing" initiative, in this blog post:
https://toolset.com/2022/01/toolset-blocks-1-6-2-compatibility-with-wordpress-5-9/
For now, a workaround can be to remove the sidebar from your post pages so that it shows the content area in full-width and without any sidebar. Next, you can divide the content template into two columns. One for the post content and the other for the content that you'd like to show in the sidebar.
I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.
