Toolset-based themes based on avada child theme

This support ticket is created 5 years, 3 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
Looking into creating a toolset based theme. However I would like to use the Avada child theme to utilise the avada page builder elements.

If I understand your documentation correctly I should be able to build my custom posts, fields, Tax, and front end forms with toolset and style the avada via the child theme then use all the avada child theme files including CSS to export my theme and content to a zip for registration with toolset.

If this is not the case then please let me know.

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Your understanding is correct and Toolset plugins can be used to register new custom post types, custom fields, custom taxonomies, WordPress archives, and front-end forms for content posting, etc.

It's important to note that these plugins are not exactly a theme-builder, but can be used with other themes like Avada, to show the content inside the that active theme's containers or layouts.
