CLIENT HAS A HUGE EVENT REGISTRATION TOMORROW AND IT'S BROKEN
I am trying to: display the same View that's been on the site for years.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link - You'll not be able to see anything below the page title. No console errors. No error logs. No debug errors.
The singles are also broken: hidden link
***These show for logged in users but not logged out users.***
I am also have the same problem on hidden link and all the singles on that site. (not urgent but shows that Views is broken in general.)
I rolled over a backup to a new install to get the site back up, so I need to give you a new url for the broken site: hidden link. The login credentials I provided earlier are good on this site.
Hi,
I've checked the pages from both websites, but I couldn't see the issue of the broken templates or views. Do I have to follow specific steps to reproduce?
On the page 'Ashford Park /5 – Dogwood Cotillion' from the third website, I do see that the content area is empty. Can you please check that no empty content template is assigned to this post type? In case, the assigned template has some content that is still not showing, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details for that website too.
Note: Your next reply will be private and making a complete backup copy is recommended before sharing the access details.
regards,
Waqar
I really, really, really need a reply please. These sites are BROKEN!!!
I can understand the urgency and just wanted to let you know that I'm investigating this matter.
Will share the findings, as soon as this troubleshooting completes.
During testing, I was able to confirm that the content that is not showing for the non-logged-in users (guests) is the one that is added through the Beaver Builder. This is true for the content templates as well as the templates that are used in the loop of the views.
If you replace the loop of those views with the direct content or with the template which are not using the Beaver Builder, the content starts showing for the guests too.
I also tested this on my website with the same Beaver Builder theme and plugin versions, but couldn't reproduce this. This suggests that something specific to your website is involved.
Do you recall enabling any custom code, plugins, or settings on these websites to protect or limit content access for guests? If not, I'll need your permission to download a clone/snapshot of the website, to test it on a different server.
Thank you for looking into this. Nothing has been added to limit guest access. These two sites have worked fine for years. Just broke last week out of nowhere.
I am now looking at all my Toolset sites and others are broken:
hidden link and all the other singles
hidden link and all the other singles
hidden link and all the other singles
[NOTE: I had to restore from backup to get these quickly fixed so you won't see the problem if you click the links. I am screenshotting all the plugin/theme update notices for the restored backups to see if one of the weekly updates I made broke the sites. I'll let you know what I find.]
HELP! This is turning into a nightmare.
You can have permission to do whatever you need to do to find the problem. Make a clone.
Update: I’m now thinking the issue is with the latest Beaver Builder update. I reached out to BB support and they said they had been receiving similar reports today. But can you still please look at this and let me know what you find?
When was your last plugin update?
Just wanted to let you know that I was able to reproduce the issue on a clean test website.
The core issue is that the content coming from Toolset content templates created through Beaver Builder is not accessible to guests.
It has started since Beaver Builder Plugin - Version 2.7.4.3 and for now, the workaround is to keep using the older version - 2.7.4.2.
I've shared these findings with the concerned team and will keep you updated through this ticket.
Note: We released some Toolset plugin updates yesterday, but they do not affect this particular issue.
Thank you. I am positive this is a BB issue.
I do have another Toolset/BB site (hidden link) that is updated to BB 2.7.4.3 and works fine. The difference is that I did NOT use BB to build out the Toolset singles and views. They are all html within Toolset.
Yes, your observation is correct. It happens only when the content from the content template built using the Beaver Builder editor is involved.
Following up, this particular issue was fixed in the Toolset Blocks / Views (versions: 1.6.14 / 3.6.14 )
You're welcome to start a new ticket, in case the issue persists or if you have a new question or concern.
