For hidden link, it appears that the connection between the database and my custom types and fields have been lost. I get the above error each time I try to add a new record to a custom type. I am able to view records and existing records display properly on the front end.

I would be happy to add username and password, and have a copy of my debug file...

Have you checked the server's error log, to see if any detailed errors or warnings are recorded? If not, I recommend temporarily turning on WordPress debugging and checking the server's error log.

In case there are none, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details, along with the exact steps to see the error.

Note: Your next reply will be private and making a complete backup copy is recommended before sharing the access details.

Thank you for sharing the access details.

During troubleshooting, I noticed that it is possible to add a new post in some post types, while not in others.

For instance, I was able to add a new post in the 'Awards' custom post type, but not in the 'Contact US!'.

Also, it seems that when the website was recovered from the hack, some of the WordPress core files were either lost or the server's security is blocking/restricting them.

I'll recommend going to WP Admin -> Dashboard -> Updates and using the button 'Re-install version 6.3.1–en', to re-install the WordPress core files.
( This will not overwrite your website's settings or data )

In case the issue still persists, I'll need your permission to download a clone/snapshot of the website, to test this on a different server.

I tested your website's clone on my test server and couldn't reproduce the issue of new custom post type creation on that. This suggests that something specific to your website's server is involved.

I'll recommend temporarily turning on WordPress debugging ( ref: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ ), by replacing the following line of code from your website's 'wp-config.php' file:

define( 'WP_DEBUG', false );

With:

define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

After that, you can try adding a new 'Contact US!' post and then check the error log, for detailed errors and warnings.
( You'll find the log in the file named 'debug.log' in the website's 'wp-content' folder )

Note: If you find these steps complicated, you can consult your hosting support team for that too.

Once you see any errors related to Toolset plugins, you're welcome to share them with us for further investigation.

Since I am rebuilding this site, would it be rude of me to ask you to export the views and types on your cloned site? I am more interested in getting the data working on the new site, than repairing the old...

Rebuilding the website is a good idea since I'm seeing many abnormalities in the files and folder structure and unknown/suspicious files in the clone.

It would be more efficient if you maintain your own cloned/backup copy of the website, on a different server. It can be a different online server or even a local host server should do.

This way you can keep it for unlimited time and will be able to turn back to it anytime, during the rebuilding process.
