I am trying to: Change the value of an image custom field on a custom post type.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: (Login only.)

I expected to see: The URL of the new image that I selected after the page reloaded after updating the post.

Instead, I got: The same URL from before I selected a new image. (I checked the post update payload in the network tools and I did see the new URL in the data sent but it does not get updated and does not reflect on page reload.)

Can you please test the image field, after clearing all involved caches?

In case the issue still persists, please share temporary admin login details, along with the exact steps to see the issue.

I see a number of custom field groups where the image type custom fields are in use.

Can you please share the exact field's name and steps to reproduce the issue?

Note: Your website has the 'Imagify' plugin active as well. Can you temporarily deactivate it and see if the issue is fixed when this plugin is not active?

Hi Waqar. Thanks for getting back to us.

We deactivated the Imagify plugin and tried updating an image field again but we had the same issue as before. Deactivating Imagify did not resolve the issue.

An example can be found on this page:

We are trying to replace the “Background image” field with this image from the media library:

We have tried selecting a new image from the media library using the “Replace Image” button, and we have tried pasting the URL in manually. In both cases, the field does not update.

Thank you for sharing the access details.

While I can see the issue with the image field on your website, I couldn't reproduce this on my test website.

This suggests that something specific to your website is involved here.

Do I have your permission to download a clone/snapshot of the website, to troubleshoot this on a different server?
