Hi
I'd like to display my post type (books) in a loop view but only one item from each taxonomy ( hidden link ). The end result should look like this. I read in your FAQ that this would be achievable via this shortcode ( "[wpv-item index]" ) but I'm not precisely sure how to use it in the loop view.
Book 1 new
Book 3 old
Book 5 sold
Is this possible?
Regards
OK
I created both the parent and the child view - hidden link
I inserted the child view ( books ) into the parent view's loop - hidden link and I set the display to only one item( hidden link )
On the front display page I embedded the parent view but I don't get only a book from each category ( hidden link )
Regards
Hi Marian,
Thank you for sharing these screenshots.
1. The limit to show only 1 item should be set in the "Book Display" view and not the "Books Taxonomies" view.
( screenshot: hidden link )
2. If the "Book Display" view is showing all the books, it means that the query filter to show posts based on the parent taxonomy view is not set in it.
