Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am trying to save a custom taxonomy that I've been using to be usable on another post type along with the post type I already currently use it on. However, the hierarchical custom taxonomies give me an error of "You cannot use this slug because it is already used or a reserved word. Please choose a different slug." but I haven't changed the slug. The flat custom taxonomies have no issue with the saving.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

I've performed some tests on my website, but couldn't reproduce this error. I was able to save the taxonomy with the same name and slug, switch its type between 'Hierarchical' and 'Flat', and also add more post types to it.

Can you temporarily deactivate all plugins other than Toolset and then try updating this taxonomy? It would also be interesting to test this with the default theme like Twenty Twenty-One.
