Hi,
I've a view, Llistat gastronomia, that uses a template for the Loop, Loop item in Llistat gastronomia. These are used in a page, hidden link

I'd like to show a default image in case Post doesn't have a featured image. I've done this in other views with (and it works)

[wpv-conditional if="( '[wpv-post-featured-image output="url"]' ne '' )"][wpv-post-featured-image size="custom" width="300" height="300" crop="true" crop_horizontal="right" crop_vertical="bottom"][/wpv-conditional]
[wpv-conditional if="( '[wpv-post-featured-image output="url"]' eq '' )"][/wpv-conditional]

But in this view, it doesn't work. So I try to make some changes in template, even write some dummy text, and when I save the template, nothing changes in the page. The text I write in Loop Template, is not shown in page. So I've got two problems, first, why I don't see the changes in template, and second, how can I show a default image in case I've not featured image?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Have you tested this, after clearing all involved caches? ( i.e. at plugins, server and CDN level )

To troubleshoot this further, I'll suggest the following steps:

1. Please make sure that WordPress, active theme, and plugins are all updated to the latest versions.

2. It would be interesting to test this with all non-Toolset plugins disabled and a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One.

If it's fixed, you can start adding the disabled items, one by one, to narrow down to a possible conflicting one.

3. In case the issue still persists, I'll need to see exactly how this content template and the view are set up in the admin area. You're welcome to share temporary admin login details, along with the link to the example page where this template can be seen.

Note: Your next reply will be private and though no changes will be made to your website, making a complete backup copy is recommended before sharing the access details.

regards,
Waqar

Thank you for sharing the access details.

During troubleshooting, I noticed that in the loop editor of the view "Llistat gastronomia", the shortcode to load the content template ( wpv-post-body ) is calling a different content template "Loop item in Llistat allotjaments" ( slug: loop-item-in-llistat-allotjaments )

[wpv-post-body view_template="loop-item-in-llistat-allotjaments"]

This is why the changes you are making in this view's own content template "Loop item in Llistat gastronomia" ( slug: loop-item-in-llistat-gastronomia ) are not showing on the front end.

So, you can either change the slug of the content template used in this view's loop editor or if you continue to use a different content template, make sure the changes are made to that.
