[Resolved] active-post-lock – not able to edit entries

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
active-post-lock - not able to edit entries

Solution:
You can always check for the possible conflict between the third-party plugins and theme to ensure there in no conflict between any plugin or theme you are using.

Please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes? Do you see any difference?

Hello beda,

I have business listings as my post type.

These are added via a cred form on the front end by clients or on the back end by my team.

I just noticed that the forms are now not editable by by team on the backend. The fields have a lock symbol. This is new! Previously if a client wanted to change an email address or other field we could easily do this within seconds for them.

I tried click the lock symbol. It highlights but remains the same and remains locked. Greyed out! and I tried to inspect element and this is what it says.

"active-post-lock" ( see screen shot)

We have not done this intentionally. We have recently done the update of toolset - maybe related?

Please tell me how to unlock my fields

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

This is strange. I do not see any other user reported such issue.

In order to minimise the cause of the issue as well as to ensure there is no third-party plugin/theme conflict.

Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes? Do you see any difference?

If no:
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
