I am trying to: make edits to a post template but update button is grayed out. I tried using a default WordPress template instead of Astra but got the same results. I don't have any other plugins active other than Toolset and Stackable. I tried disabling Stackable as well but it made no difference. Updates were working fine for a period of time prior to the update button becoming grayed out.

I'm running WordPress 5.9 with the Astra theme.

As a workaround I found that if I duplicate the post template and assign the duplicate to the custom post type the update button starts working again. However, after a couple of edits to the template it stops working again. I can flip back and forth between copies of the template to make updates but this isn't ideal. I would appreciate an actual fix. Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Do you see any error or warning while editing content templates, on the screen, in the browser console, or in the server's error log?

I'll recommend temporarily enabling the WordPress debugging and see if any errors or warnings are recorded in the log.

In case there are no errors/warnings, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details, in reply to this message.

Note: Your next reply will be private and it is recommended to make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.

regards,
Waqar
