Types&CRED - add new field type

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Hello!

Excuse me for asking, but I can not find anywhere information. Is it possible to create additional types of fields for Types&CRED? For example, plugin Advanced Custom Fields to do this is quite simple.

As I understand you want to create your custom type field. Could you please confirm that you want to add your types custom type field other than listed in the following link:

1)
If you want to add additional fields with Types, you can add custom fields group from:
=> Toolset => Post Fields

You should refer to the following link that may help you:

2)
With CRED, you can use CRED generic field to add additional fields to CRED form.

I do not see any example available right now to create custom field type using types.

I just got the update that we will create a complete tutorial about how you can create custom field type using types and soon we add it to our official Docs in near future. Please note that there is no ETA.

I want to clarify, created the field type can be used in the CRED form? Or it is not connected?

Yes - Once you create a custom field type, you should create a new field using the new custom type and you can further use it with CRED.
