[Resolved] Transferring Old Views Template to Blocks

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The user would like to port a legacy view into blocks. And he would like to display assigned taxonomy terms for the post.

Solution:
Currently, Toolset Blocks cannot display dynamically terms data similar to how it displays post fields. To work around it we can use a "Classic" or "Fields and Text" and use the [wpv-post-taxonomy].

Tell us what you are trying to do?

I am trying to transfer my old Views template into the new Blocks. One issue that comes up is that the shortcode that is being picked up by the Dynamic options [yith_wcmv_vendor_name show_by="vendor" value="0" type="link"] has no value there..where is the data for this short code?

On the other hand, the old Views template (screenshot attached) shows another shortcode with the field that I actually need [wpv-post-taxonomy type="yith_shop_vendor"]

What is the difference between the 2 different short codes and how can I make the dynamic text pick up the one I need?

Is there any documentation that you are following?
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/custom-content/using-third-party-hidden-fields/

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site? hidden link

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

YITH vendors are a taxonomy not a custom field. You cannot get a taxonomy term with the blocks' user interface (dynamic field).

Currently, there is no Toolset Block to display the taxonomies terms of a post. The workaround is to fall back to legacy views by using a "Classic" or "Fields and Text" and use the [wpv-post-taxonomy].

[yith_wcmv_vendor_name show_by="vendor" value="0" type="link"] shortcode is not a Toolset shortcode, check its documentation here hidden link
