Thank you for sharing this update and sorry to learn that the workaround didn't work.

The use of the WooCommerce block in the footer widget area seems like a good alternative and visually it looks almost the same as before. It is also better than adopting any other hacky workarounds.

I've performed some more tests and unfortunately, still couldn't reproduce this on a clean test website, which is why it can't be escalated as a bug. So in presence of the a valid workaround, I hope it would be fine with you if we agree to mark this as resolved for now.
