I have Toolset Types, Views and Maps. Several Views and Maps are created od different pages and when I want to edit these pages (with Toolset Views or Maps on them) the Update button in the upper right corner is dimmed and it doesn't work.
I tried deactivating all three plugins and the problem goes away (but data is not shown). Sometimes after several seconds or after one minute the Update button starts working. Sometimes the button activates if I press Preview button first. And sometimes it just works.
I also tried on staging site, the same happens. I also tried with different users (admin and editor), the problem is the same.

Hi,

As discussed in the chat, this is the new support ticket.

I've set your next reply as private so that you can share the clone/snapshot of the website.

Thank you for sharing the duplicator package.

I'll be running some tests and will update you with my findings accordingly.

Thank you for waiting.

During testing on your website as well as its clone on my server, I couldn't reproduce the issue with the "Update" button.
(I've tested the 3 pages that you shared)

The button's availability keeps changing as the page's content is being rendered in the preview area. But as soon as the processing completes, the button stays enabled.

Here is a quick video capture of how it loads for me:

In case you're experiencing this using only a particular device or browser, it would be best to test this on a different one too, and with browser, extensions disabled, to narrow down to the reason.

Please also see if any errors or warnings are logged in the browser's console when this happens.

Hello,

it is not only me that is experiencing this issue. I see it (macos Chrome) and my client sees it (Windows Firefox and Chrome), there are several people experiencing this. I also see it on our staging server, it is the same.

Can you log in to our real server (www.program-mira.si) and look at it? I don't know what to say to our client, they are expecting a fix soon.

Thanks for writing back.

As I mentioned in my last reply, I've tested the 3 pages on your actual website too.

You can share with your client the same information about the Gutenberg/blocks based editor which we have discussed in this thread:
"The update button is not available during the page's content is being processed for preview or when the system is auto-saving the content in the background. The longer or more complex the content is, the more time will be needed to complete the processing and therefore, you'll need to give it more time before the update button becomes available for saving the new changes".

If you or your client still feel something different is involved, you're welcome to share a small screen video capture, showing the issue.

Hello, I investigated further and found out, that Update button is dimmed indefinitely, when the user has Editor rights. When editing content with Administrator rights it works after a while.
I recorded a screencast (4:30 minutes) to show you, that button is not working under Editor rights.

Thank you for sharing this observation and I was able to reproduce this on my test website too.

If a page includes a view block, it is not possible to edit it because the update button is disabled. This happens for user roles lower than "administrator".

Appreciate you brought this forward and I've shared these findings with the concerned team. I'll also keep you updated through this ticket.

Hello, I'm just checking about this issue. It is still not resolved.

#1917285

Thanks for checking in.

I can confirm that this issue is already reported to the developers and is currently being worked on.

Although I don't have a time estimate at the moment, I'll let you know through this ticket, once a fix is released.

Thank you for your patience.

Hello, we are still having problems updating content under editor rights. Are there any news regarding this issue?

#1966551

The fix for this is still under review, but, some more information turned up that can be used as a workaround.

To edit blocks-based view, the "toolset_edit_views" capability is needed and you can grant this to either the default "Editor" role or to its copied role, as you prefer.

After that, the users with this role and the "toolset_edit_views" capability, will be able to edit the pages that included the blocks-based view (including the view itself).

Hi,
I am having the same problem. The Update button greys out after page reload and when I try to edit a content template. No way to update anything.

See this video:

I only have Toolset plugins activated. Theme is GeneratePress. I also tried with Twenty-TwentyOne Theme. Same issue.

I also tried clearing all site cache.

Any update on this?
Thanks
