Term Reference Field?

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I would like to be able link a Parent Term to a Child Term in the same Custom Taxonomy in the same, or similar, way that you can link a Post via a Post Reference.

Solution:

There isn't such an exact feature within Types plugin, or even custom taxonomy of WordPress, see details here:

Hi,

There isn't such an exact feature within Types plugin, or even custom taxonomy of WordPress.

The only relationship between terms is Hierarchical taxonomy, just like the WordPress built-in taxonomy "Category", for example:
- Top level term A
-- 2nd level term B
--- 3rd level term C

Hierarchical taxonomy works just like post categories. It appears as a tree and you have checkboxes to select taxonomy terms.
