Tell us what you are trying to do?

I created a custom taxonomy for "Places" for CPT "Destinations"

In the places taxonomy I have regions>country>city

I have included all continents, countries and have just one city

All of a sudden (or I didn't notice it before), only some of the locations now show in the taxonomy checklist inside the In the WordPress editor. For Example, I have 54 countries in Africa and only a few are showing. It's also random how it is showing; for example "Antarctica & Subcontinent Island" none show... Europe, again just a few... and nothing shows after Europe at all, like North America or South America. Additionally, I cannot search the missing locations ion the search box.

Is there any documentation that you are following? - NO, I looked, too confusing, not the same instance

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site? hidden link

Additionally, this is the same situation in Menus, but different. The order of item is all mixed up with no logic and am unable to search or see things in order. Many items seem to be missing.

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I think I understand the issue with taxonomies. Can you allow me temporary access to check this my self? Your next reply will be private to let you share credentials safely. ** Make a database backup before sharing credentials. **

Regarding your last message about menus, could you please elaborate a little more on your question so I can better understand?
Sometimes screenshots illustrating what you mean may go a long way to clarify what words fail to transmit, so if you like, make use of “upload an image” below the comment area.

Thank you for the credentials. I can see the issue with places, for example, I could not find the Place "Morocco" on the list.

Please check if this issue appears when:
- Only Toolset plugins are activated. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with another plugin.
- The theme is set to a WordPress default like Twenty Fourteen. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with your theme.
If the problem disappears, start activating one at the time to track where the incompatibility is produced.

If it does not, allow me to install the Duplicator plugin and take a copy of your website for local debugging.

Thanks Jamal. I did the above and nothing changed. Please go ahead and add the plug-in and see what you find :). Thank you.

#1676741

Thank you!

I took a copy of your website and built it locally. The issue was not reproduced. All the places(264 places) were loaded without issue.
My local copy had 3 AJAX calls to get the 264 places, each call seeks to get 100 items. But on the live site, only the first call is performed and it returns 100 first places. But no other calls are made to load the remaining places.

I suspect that something within your hosting/server is contributing to this issue. To confirm that, I have created an online installation on our platform and I hope you will follow the steps on my previous message(June 25, 2020 at 4:28 pm) to migrate your website to it. Let's continue from there.

#1676845

Okay, the migration is completed.

#1676921

Thank you!

The issue was not reproduced on the migrated site. You can log in with your credentials and check it.

On your server, please activate PHP debugging as described in this article https://toolset.com/documentation/programmer-reference/debugging-sites-built-with-toolset/#php-debugging

Then, check if this issue appears when:
- Only Toolset plugins are activated. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with another plugin.
- The theme is set to a WordPress default like Twenty Fourteen. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with your theme.
If the problem disappears, start activating one at the time to track where the incompatibility is produced.

Finally, share with me FTP credentials to check the generated debug.log file, it may give us an idea about the cause of this issue.

#1676947

Ok, am I deactivating elementor too?

#1676977

Okay, i deactivated elementor. How do I share FTP credentials? Where do I find that?

#1677197

Okay, super frustrated...three days now. Too much time on this I could have redone my site from scratch waiting. I am new to WP and do not understand tech speak. The problem still exists with everything deactivated other than toolset. I put in the code you suggested but, not sure if I put it in the right place so I deleted it. FTP, no idea what you are taking there. I can give you the access to cpanel? I am turning everything back one because I still have to work.

#1677307

To clarify;
Sorry typos in that last msg. I turned everything back on because I still need to work and I do not understand FTP.

#1677533

I have activated the private reply in my last message. You were able to share FTP credentials on your first reply(June 25, 2020 at 8:06 pm)

I activated a private reply now, please share FTP credentials to your server. If you have any doubts, please ask your hosting provider to provide you with FTP access and add them to your next message.

I am scrapping the website and starting over. This is taking too long. I sent in message to toolset early on and asked questions where I don't believe I got the right answers. The timezone thing is making this difficult.

#1678879

My apologies, but the provided credentials did not work for me. Please double-check the username and password and update your previous message or enter new credentials on your next message.

You can see my timezone and my working hours on my profile page https://toolset.com/forums/users/jamal-b/

Let me know if you want me to transfer this ticket to another supporter near your timezone, my colleagues are spread from Asia to America, let me know your timezone and I'll pass this ticket to a closer supporter.
