I am using shortcodes to display values in a template and it is adding random question marks.

See title and byline in the attached image

Hi,

Question marks like these usually show up, when the text/content has some extra or invalid characters included in the back end.

Have you copied/pasted this content from some third-party page builder or code editor? It would be a good idea to copy that content and paste it into a simple text/code editor like 'Sublime Text' etc and then examine it.

You're also welcome to share a screenshot of how this content is set up in the admin area.

regards,
Waqar

I was actually copying the shortcode from one Toolset field to another. No external sourece, I deleted the bock and rewrote it from scratch. Apparently you can't copy content from one Toolset Block to another then. Very strange. Thank you for your reply.

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
