[Resolved] Inline field – URL – no way to make it a link

This support ticket is created 3 years, 9 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Hi

When using the new Inline field option (which is great by the way) when you pick a URL field there should really be an option to make this a link. I am guessing this is a bug, as date has options but URL's don't?

Hi Matt,

Thank you for bringing this forward and glad that you like the new inline field feature.

Although I don't have a time estimate to share, we do have an internal ticket to introduce output control options for more types of fields (with a URL type field being a priority).

I've added your voice to this matter too and meanwhile, a workaround can be to use the Types Fields shortcodes, which would give you more control over the output:
