[Resolved] How can I move a custom field from one group to another?

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

How can I move a custom field from one group to another?

I deleted the group and then tried to add the field to another group, but get the message that it already exists. I also removed the original field from existing posts and templates, but getting the same message.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

To restore a custom field that has been removed, you can visit the "Post Field Control" section.
( you'll see its button at the bottom of the custom fields groups management screen at WP Admin -> Toolset -> Custom Fields )

Search for the field that you'd like to restore and then assign it to a new custom field group.
