Hello,

I would like to know is there any method to export the ACF(Advance Custom Field plugin) certain custom field data and import to Toolset custom field?

Because currently, I am facing a few problems which are:

1. My site has a lot of custom post created by ACF, it is not pratical manually insert all the custom field data to all over again in toolset custom field.

2. Cannot convert a Multi-line text field(ACF) into a WYSIWYG text field(Toolset) due to the different Data Structure.

Hi Wilfred,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

I'm afraid, currently, there is no direct method available to import ACF plugin's data into Toolset.

You can use "Post Fields Control" option, available at WP Admin -> Toolset -> Custom Fields, to make Toolset get control of custom fields created outside of Toolset, as explained at the following guide:
https://toolset.com/faq/how-do-i-convert-existing-custom-types-and-fields-to-types-control/

It is important to note however that, this will work only for simple fields (e.g. single line fields), as ACF (and other similar plugins) stores complex fields ( e.g. Multi-line, select, radio, checkboxes etc), in a different format/syntax than Toolset.

In case a large amount of custom fields data is involved and manually re-entry is not an option, it would be best to keep it stored as ACF fields. You'll still be able to use that data with Toolset Views plugin, using either ACF plugin's own methods or through direct PHP code.

If you'd like to consider the option of custom migration script for this data, you can also consult one of the Toolset contractors:
https://toolset.com/contractors/

I hope this helps! Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

regards,
Waqar
