Hi,

I already reported a similar issue here:

https://toolset.com/forums/topic/custom-role-cannot-set-featured-image-access-wpml/

This has been added to the errata section:

https://toolset.com/errata/allowing-user-roles-to-upload-media-does-not-allow-them-to-add-media-to-blocks-or-featured-images-if-gutenberg-is-active/

One of the suggested workarounds it to use the Classic editor (instead of the Block editor). I have realised that setting the featured image will not work with the Classic editor either if the author of the post is another user.

Thanks,

Hi, I'm not able to replicate this on my local environment. Can you show me on a live site?
