I am trying to: I've create a new post type but the standard wordpress author archive page is not displaying anything?
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
I expected to see: I expect to see posts associated with the author.
Instead, I got: Nothing 🙁
Hi Tim,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
By default, the WordPress Author Archive page doesn't show the posts from the custom post types.
But you can create a customized WordPress Archive for the author pages and then you'll have the option to include the custom post types as well.
https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/customize-post-archives/
I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.
regards,
Waqar
Can these archive pages be designed using Elemntor templates?
When I follow the instructions online to create an Archive, the image attached is what loads. The Archive block does not load as is shown in the Customize Archive video...perhaps this is why I am having trouble. I'm a little frustrated at this point.
I have disabled all other plugins, and still it doesn't work.
I have Types & Blocks installed, as well as forms and access.
Hi Tim,
Thanks for writing back.
> Can these archive pages be designed using Elemntor templates?
- Yes, the Elementor plugin offers a feature to create archive pages, including the author archives.
Here is the link to their official guide on the topic:

And here is a link to our guide on using Toolset data in Elementor templates:

To troubleshoot why you're not able to use Toolset's WordPress Archive feature for the author archive page, I'll need access to your website's admin area.
I'm setting your next reply as private so that you can share the temporary admin login details.

Hi Tim,
Thank you for waiting.
I've performed several tests on my website, but couldn't reproduce this issue with the author archive.
This suggests that this is something specific to your website. To troubleshoot this further, I'll suggest the following steps:
1. Please make sure that WordPress, active theme and plugins are all updated to the latest versions.
2. It would be interesting to test this with all non-Toolset plugins disabled and a default theme like Twenty Twenty.
( after making a complete backup copy of the website )
If it's fixed, you can start adding the disabled items, one-by-one, to narrow down to a possible conflicting one.
3. In case the issue still persists, I'll need a clone/snapshot of your website so that it can be tested on a different server, without affecting the actual website.
I've set your next reply as private here is a guide on sharing the clone/snapshot:

Waqar. Starting to see other weird issues pop-up around the filtering of views e.g. they're not working!
Getting frustrated with the Toolset plugins at the moment. I am thinking of trying with another plugin like ACF at this stage. Too many things not working....
I will try as you have suggested, disable all plugins and go one by one...I'll come back to you.
Hi Tim,
I'll wait to hear back from you about the results.
Your next reply is also set as private, in case you need to share the website's clone for further investigation.
regards,
Waqar
