Tell us what you are trying to do? Allow italian content editors to easily understand select options in the custom fields if the values are in chinese

For example we created a select with 10 options written in chinese but when the content editor insert the contents we need to let him/her understand the options in italian language. is there a way to allow a label or other system to associate the chinese option to an italian translation without letting the italian translation to be displayed in the frontend website?

Also regarding the parent/child options in the post categories selection.

Dear Franco,

I assume we are talking about the custom select field created by Types plugin, there is not such a built-in feature within Types plugin, when you create a custom select field, you can setup the option's "Display text" and "Custom field content", if the "Display text" is Chinese text, you can setup the "Custom field content" as English text, then your Italian content editors should be able to understand the option's usage.

I assume you are going to translate the "Display text" option value, there isn't such a built-in feature within Toolset, but it is possible to translate the "Display text" option with WPML plugin, see our document:
https://toolset.com/documentation/translating-sites-built-with-toolset/translating-the-content/

This ticket is now closed. If you're a WPML client and need related help, please open a new support ticket.
