Hi,

I have added in custom media fields. When I go to the media library and click an image, the fields display in the upload box and I can enter text in the fields, but there is no way of saving this data (ie there's no save button and it doesn't automatically save). The same applies when I try adding media through a page or post.

Can you tell me how I can get this to work?

Many thanks.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

When a custom field is added to the "Media" post type through Toolset Types ( screenshot: hidden link ), it is shown on the media post's edit screen, along with the "Update" button.

Note: In case your custom field group is missing from the media post's edit screen, please make sure that it's checkbox is checked from the "Screen Options" drawer at the top.

The custom fields added through the Toolset Types plugins are not shown on other media upload popup/dialog windows and for that, you'll need to use custom code or a third-party plugin.

Following are some useful guides on the topic:

I hope this helps!
