Yes that's what I did, but since then all my own functions.php rules (which allows managing permissions without access) are overwritten and not efficient anymore.
Thank you.

Understood. I have added a note to the internal ticket to say that you are asking about progress.

Hello,
Still no news from WPML and Toolset devs ?
It's been more than two weeks and half of my access functionalities still don't work because of this bug...
Thank you.

Hi Roman

There are two internal tickets that arose from this thread, one is marked as having a fix proposed which requires testing, the other as being currently worked on, with the expectation that the fixes will be published in Access 2.4.2.

I have rattled the cage of the developers again and hope that will be soon, but I can say exactly when.

Hi Roman

We are in the final stages of testing the latest slate of updates, including Access 2.4.2, which should be available early next week (probably from Tuesday).

Please keep an eye out for the update notifications, and update your Toolset plugins after taking a backup.

Let me know if you still experience any problems, and I'm sorry it has taken time to resolve the problem.

Hi Roman

Just a quick update to alert you that the plugin updates were published yesterday and if you update your site you should see the problem resolved.

As a reminder, we always recommend you take a backup before updating.

Hello and thank you for the update.

I've just updated my test site with all last versions but I can see at least 2 new bugs. I would prefer them to be corrected before to test the access bug resolution.

I create another post for those bugs resolution.

Hi Roman

Let me know when you are able to test the updated plugins for the issue in this thread and if you encounter any problems with it.

Thanks

Hello,
I've just had the exact same problem on another website with Toolset, so I understand the bug is not resolved.
It seems I can't use the access groups unless I activate access management for default wordpress posts, which is the problem : I need to use access groups without activating access on the whole website ; only on specific posts/pages.
Please see https://toolset.com/forums/topic/access-not-working-4/
Thank you.

Hi Roman

Sorry, I just noticed your reply now, I didn't receive a notification for some reason.

Unless there is some information I'm missing about the problem then I cannot reproduce the issue.

You want to be able to use Access Post Groups to limit access to selected individual posts/pages.

As I explained earlier, this only works if the post type in question is under Access control. (It doesn't matter what the specific settings for a post type are, just that it is managed by Access.)

So if you want to control read access for guests to specific pages, then you bring Pages under Access control and then add the pages in question to an Access Post Group.

I just tested that with the current Access 2.4.2 and it works as expected.

If you also want to limit access to certain Posts then you must first bring the Posts post type under Access control (by all means leave it with the default settings), then add the individual posts to a Post Group.

If your plugins are up-to-date and you still have a problem, let me know.
