Problem: I am unable to set a long excerpt length in a Single Field block. The length seems to be limited to the number of words or characters in the excerpt.
Solution: Our developers are aware of this limitation and are working on a solution in a future release. For now, a workaround is required. Temporarily edit the previewed post and give it a very long excerpt, then you can edit the Single Field block's word count limit to use a longer excerpt length. Revert the post's excerpt after setting the length correctly, and the longer excerpt length setting will persist until you edit the View again.
Style container block with custom CSS class names.
Solution:
You can edit the page/post, find and select the "Container block", in the sidebar, section "ID & Classes", setup your custom CSS class names, see my screenshot:
Problem: I have a View built in a Content Template that displays on all posts in a custom post type. If the View does not display results, I would like to hide the corresponding header text in the template.
Solution: Move the header text into the view itself, and use a conditional block to hide it if the number of results found is less than 1.
Problem: I would like to create a View of taxonomy terms, but I cannot select a taxonomy in Content Selection.
Solution: The Blocks Editor does not yet support Views of taxonomy terms or Views of Users. Instead, you must use the legacy editor to build these Views and place them in the Block Editor using the wpv-view shortcode.
Problem:
How to convert custom post types. A lot of imported content is of various post types, the client wants to convert them all to the same type.
Solution:
You can edit the post_type entries in wp_posts in the database directly, but the easiest solution is to use a plugin for the purpose, such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/
