I am trying to login as a specific custom role "evaluator". Once the user logins, they are redirected to the following
hidden link
I expected to see:
The dashboard for the user.
Instead, I got:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this admin page.
Reason: The "Profile → Your Profile" menu item is disabled for the "evaluator" role.
If I delete everything after the wp-admin, then the user is logged in and the dashboard appears.
Hi, please go to Toolset > Access Control > Custom Roles and click "Change permissions" underneath the Evaluator role. In the "Other capabilities" tab, make sure "read" is checked. If not, check it and test again. If it's checked, please try these troubleshooting steps next:
- Temporarily activate a default theme like Twenty Nineteen and deactivate all plugins except Types, Views and Access.
- Test again. If the problem is resolved, reactivate your theme and other plugins one by one until the problem returns
- If the problem is not resolved, I'll have to take a closer look.
Hi. That did not appear to work for my issue.
May I log in to your admin area and make a clone of your site to run some additional tests? Please provide login credentials in the private reply fields here.
I just added your user with a generic email.
Hmm, can't log in. Can you check those credentials again?
Should be working now. Also, the roles that aren't logging in properly are "evaluator" and "author"
Not sure what's going on, maybe a permissions problem? I can't access Toolset settings or Access controls when I log in using those credentials.
Can you delete everything after wp-admin in the url that comes up when you sign in ? That seems to be the problem.
I don't see any difference, unfortunately. If I log in, then change the URL manually to /wp-admin, then try to go to Toolset settings, I see the same error message. You can see in the screenshots I attached there are no extra URL parameters, other than the ones necessary to see the Toolset settings pages.
Strange. I can login with those credentials and get the main dashboard.
Right, the main dashboard is not the problem. I'm trying to access Toolset > Settings or Toolset > Access control.
Try now. I bumped you up to keymaster. Not sure why an administrator does not have access to toolset.
Now I can't even access the main dashboard, can you check?
Okay thanks, I'm making my site clone now and I'll update you soon.
