Dear Sir/Madam,

I built a WordPress Archive content template, I want to apply it for archives but not a single post. I don't know why everytime when I add new post, it automatically assign the content template to the new post, I don't want that. How can I disable it auto-assignment?

I attached the screenshots for your reference, I also mark which screenshot I want.

Best regards,

Kelvin

Am I right in thinking that you have created a custom WordPress archive using the legacy editor, and grouped the fields of the loop output in a content template, and then designed that content template using the block editor?

That's what I'm guessing from your screenshots, and I'd like to try to reproduce the same issue, but wanted to confirm the set up.

Dear Nigel,

Yes, I create WordPress archives and filter Categories in Project for post only, it direct me to make the content template using Block Editor but I didn't manually assign it to be used on Post.

Hello,

Please share your website credentials in below private message box, also point out the problem page URL and content template URL, we need to check it in a live website, thanks

#2097725

I have tried the credentials you provided above, it is not valid:
Unknown username. Check again or try your email address.
please check it

#2097735

Sorry, fixed, please try again.

#2097751

I assume you did want to assign any content template to single post, if it is, please try these:
Dashboard-> Toolset-> Content Templates-> Usage for single page
in row "Posts", click link "Change Content Template", choose option "Don’t use any Content Template", and update.

Then test again

Sorry I wrongly provide the wrong link about this ticket.

I don't want to have any content template be assigned when creating a new post.

I just want to have a custom view for the category archive

I have done below modifications in your website:
Edit both content templates:
hidden link
hidden link

In section "Usage", disable option for "Posts", please test again, check if it is fixed, thanks

Dear Luo Yang,

I disable the option for Posts in section Usage, when I create a new post, it still automatically assign the content template to Template Dynamically Assigned by Toolset</stong>, I don't need this. I don't need any template for all new posts.

Best regards,

Kelvin.

If you don't need any content template for post, you just don't assign the post to any content.

And the option "Template Dynamically Assigned by Toolset" will take the option to "None" by default.

I have tried it in your website:
Create a new post:
hidden link
Test it in frontend:
hidden link
It works fine, it does not use any content template.

Can you confirm it?

Dear Luo Yang,

Please refer to provided screenshot, this is the post you created but I found the Content Template was still assigned as Template Dynamically Assigned by Toolset, what does it meanDynamically Assigned? How do I know the post is correctly using the template? How does Toolset work on it?

Best regards,

Kelvin.

#2100985

The option "Template Dynamically Assigned by Toolset" means:
Toolset Blocks/Views plugin will set the content template automatically, if there isn't any Content Template setting, it will not assign with any content template.
