I am trying to: Connect a POST to a BUSINESS post type in their designated SPONSORS relationship that I have set up

I expected to see: A list of BUSINESS post types only (since the relationship is specifically between businesses and posts)

Instead, I got: A selection of every post type that has anything to do with the query I searched for

--

I run several travel/city websites, and every one of them uses Toolset Types to control relationships between Businesses, Posts, Pages, Events, Coupons, etc. This site in particular has existed for a very long time and has a lot of content and a variety of post types.

We often run giveaways, and I connect the giveaway sponsors to the giveaway post via a Types relationship called Sponsors (Posts [*] << Sponsors >> Businesses [*]). This is always a frustrating thing to do because any time I try to connect a business within the post, I have to select from every single post type we have available on the site. It often presents a problem when we have old posts with the same or a similar name to the business. I will select what I think is the business I'm looking for, type in the associated fields, and when I try to save I get the message "Wrong related content" and have to start all over again.

Typing in what I'm looking for does limit the results, but because this site is so ancient, there is far too much content to sift through. For example, in the attached screenshot you can see a bunch of results that don't seem to have anything to do with the business name; these are all events the business has hosted or posts that they are featured in.

It would be much simpler if this was just a list of results in the post type that it says it is supposed to be. I'm not sure if this is just a bug on my site or if this is a feature that has yet to be implemented.

Hello,

The problem you mentioned above is abnormal, please check these:
1) In case it is a compatibility problem, please deactivate all other plugins, and switch to wordpress default theme 2019, and test again
2) Also check if there is any PHP/JS error in your website:

3) If the problem still persists, please provide database dump file(ZIP file) of your website, also point out the problem post URL, I need to test and debug it in my localhost, thanks
