[Resolved] waqas please 2 of final 3!!

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

here i want to show all the related events results like the drop down box above(" View OFTW dasiypicker test dog 2‘s Progeny Trial Results.") but only if test dog 2 was the sire , i really have no idea how to even start this view..........

hi waqar ,any advice on this ? im stuck fast now on the site , I have done all i can and now need a little info the 3 tickets so i can progress , id like to have it finished so i can move on with the site away from toolset many thanks as usual

Hi Martin,

Since your goal here to get all the dog participation results for the dogs where the current dog ( in this case "test dog 2" ) is the sire, the first thing that you'll need would be the list of all those dogs.

You'll create a new post view for showing dog posts, but with a custom field query filter for the "Sire of dog" field, where the shortcode attribute value is equal to the ID of the current dog.

Once this view is correctly showing all the child dogs of the current dog, you can re-use the view "view to show dog appearances in events single dog page" that you have used above to show the results related to each of those child dogs.

My issue is resolved now. spot on thankyou i was even ableto add an OR querry filter id the dog was a dam... brilliant another part done with your help!! on 2 issues left!
