Using Toolset Views to create a slider element. Pagination settings are pagination enabled with automatic AJAX transition.
I want the arrows when clicked to scroll the slider in the corresponding direction. E.g. click right slider scrolls right, click left slider scrolls left.
This seems possible in the manual transition but not the automatic? Is it possible with automatic enabled?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
Yes, the next and previous navigation links, should work with both, manual and automatic transitions.
If you're not able to make it work, you're welcome to share the screenshot of your view's pagination settings.
regards,
Waqar
Hi Waqar
Thanks for your response. The navigation buttons work however its the animation direction I would like to amend.
When automatic transition is selected, I can only select a single direction for the buttons. However I would like a relative direction to be an option. E.g. if you click left nav button the slider slides left. Much like the manual option to have 'Slide Horizontally' selected.
Thanks for writing back and sharing these details.
I was able to reproduce this behavior on my test website too when working with a classic/legacy view. The "Slide horizontally" option is available with the "manual transition and AJAX". But, with "automatic AJAX transition", you can either choose to "Slide Right" or "Slide Left", but not both.
This is not the case when working with the blocks-based view and the "Slide horizontally" option can be used with automatic and manual pagination alike. Would it be possible for you to recreate this view using the blocks editor?
Please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.
