[Resolved] view loop style table in classic editor

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

Create a view in table layout using classic editor.

Solution:

You can try to setup the view with classic editor, for example:

1) Dashboard-> Toolset-> Settings-> General:

in section "Editing experience", enable option "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build"

2) Dashboard-> Toolset-> Views, add new view, setup it as table layout, and customize it as what you want.

Block editor for table view loop.png

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am working on a new view in BLOCK EDITOR, with a TABLE as loop style. The editing experience is very bad, for instance the columns for table heading and for the columns themselves are not distributed evenly (see screen shot). Without the navigator, I would be lost and I would not know, where is the cursor, because the space for the heading of a new column is so small and hidden, that it is not possible to see the cursor. Furthermore, trying to insert "fields and texts" is not possible anymore after some operations, the menus are not active and do not respond on clicking. Isn't hat a bug? I had never problems with grid layout in views, but the TABLE LAYOUT just does not work properly.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I consulted this thread also

Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback.

I have checked it in our to-do list, it is marked as a feature request, so there isn't any ETA for it, I have added this thread in it, hope this can raise attention.

Many thanks for your reply! What do you think is the time horizon for implementing the improvment? Or do you recommand me another approach, If I want to use a table loop style? Using just view?

There isn't ETA for such kind of feature request.

Yes, you are right, you can try to setup the view with classic editor, for example:
1) Dashboard-> Toolset-> Settings-> General:
in section "Editing experience", enable option "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build"

2) Dashboard-> Toolset-> Views, add new view, setup it as table layout, and customize it as what you want.
