I created a custom post type for our retail sites. I added a custom field for the address. I have a Google Map API key and put that in Toolset maps. I created a template for the custom post type. What I cannot figure out is how to have my custom post types display on a map. I want to have a view of our retail locations and have that map display where I tell it to display. Ideally, I would like a static to keep costs down. I have read through documentation but am confused as to how to get this done. Please advise and share any documentation that you feel might help.

I have read through the docs. I created a view, a custom post type and a map on the view page. All I want to do is display a listing of the address locations from my custom post types. I want a map I can place in a couple locations. One location just needs the map. The other location needs the map and listing of the locations like in your gym example. I am just at a loss. I have followed the instructions, but I cannot get it to work. I believe part of my difficulty is that Toolset has changed the UI and I have difficulty following it. Please advise.

Hi,

I followed exactly what's mentioned in this guide https://toolset.com/lesson-placement/lesson-placements-1824661-1620853/ as well as what is shown in the video on this page. However, I used a different custom post type and custom address field to check and demonstrate that if it works fine.

I recorded my screen for you, please check hidden link - I hope this makes things clear.

I'll also suggest to check the guides in detail along with the videos mentioned in the guides. If you see any difference in UI/UX please make sure you are using the latest versions of WordPress and Toolset plugins. You need at least Types, Maps and Blocks plugins.

Additionally, here's a list of blocks which support Dynamic Sources: https://toolset.com/documentation/dynamic-sources-in-popular-blocks/

Regards.

Thanks for your message. I followed that same video. The difference is I am creating a content template so I can use it in multiple pages. The video shows it as creating a page. Could that be my issue?

I created the content template and followed the video to create the view. I selected to use the custom post type, but it's as if it doesn't see the content of the SPT (see screenshot).

FYTI, I could not view your screencast. It just took me to the we share home page.

Hi,

Thank you for the updates.

For that WeTransfer video link, you may need to accept the cookies or terms, if you are accessing it for the first time and then there's a download link.

Anyways, do you have posts created beforehand, in that CPT (with address field filled in)?

Besides this, may I ask for admin access to your website to check the issue in detail? You can create a separate admin user for this purpose, which can be deleted afterwards.

Also please provide following detail to investigate/observe the issue:

- detailed steps to reproduce the issue
- links to pages in admin and on frontend
- screenshots or screen recording if needed to explain
- any other relevant information to observe/investigate the issue

Please remember to take full backup of your website and database before proceeding. However, a staging/test site is highly recommended, because I may need to try some changes/fixes on the site, which may cause conflicts with the live site otherwise. Please confirm it in your next reply or let me know if you do not agree with the mentioned.

I've set your next reply as private to share this information safely.

IMPORTANT: If you don't see the section for providing access information, please do not write in the message box or the information may appear as public.

Please see followings for details on privacy, security and support policy:

- https://toolset.com/privacy-policy-and-gdpr-compliance/

Before continuing on the site, I'll also need your confirmation and approval on each of the followings:

1) Is this a Live/Production or Staging/Dev site?
2) Is it OK to work on this site?
3) Is it OK to try some changes/fixes on the site and/or activate/deactivate/install a plugin on the site, which may cause conflicts with the other parts of the site?
4) Have you taken full backup of your website and database?

Please confirm, thanks.
