Would it be possible to design a crowdfunding website like Kickstarter or IndieGoGo using Toolset?

Hi Eric

That's a pretty broad question.

You would able to get much of the way there using Toolset, but without thinking about some particular functionality, I am pretty sure you will need to integrate a custom solution for certain parts of the site.

I don't think there is much alternative but to sit down and sketch out how the site would work, and think about what you can achieve using Toolset plus other plugins such as WooCommerce and WooCommerce Views in combination with CRED and CRED Commerce.

If you are thinking about a particular aspect of the site and you are not sure how you might set it up, then ask a question specifically about that.

It would probably be helpful to review some of the demo sites we have for classifieds and member sites, see the documentation at these pages:

From that you should get the idea that you can create quite complex and ambitious sites, but you will need to think more concretely about how some of the functionality relating to pledges converting into donations and so on would work, and the extent to which the Toolset API can help you fill in the gaps where the core functionality doesn't cover your needs.

And also whether you are able to fill those gaps.
