I am trying to move everything from a sub-site underneath a multisite to a separate singleton site. I have already used the Toolset export/import to copy over all the components: One post type with several fields, related form/view/layout/etc. I am using the standard WordPress importer to bring over the actual posts. The importer uploads the file, spins a bit, then switches to a blank WP dashboard screen (not even the normal sidebar, no sidebar options except "dashboard"). No post contents come in at all. No error message or any other status indicator.

Is there a similar example that we can see? No, but I can send you all the export files I'm using, if that would help.
What is the link to your site? It is a development-only site hosted by Flywheel. There are privacy settings turned on so you would need extra permissions in order to see it. I can provide that info if it is needed.

In case no error is shown on the screen have you checked the server's error log, after turning on WordPress debugging?

If no errors/warnings are recorded, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details of websites that are being used for this import and export, along with the sample export file that is not working.
Note: Your next reply will be private and though no changes will be made on your websites, please make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
Turning on WP_Debug helped point me toward an issue with the size of the file I was importing. I'm working now with my hosting company to adjust permissions on the server, while also trying to import as multiple smaller files.
