In the link above, everything above "Description" is the standard WooCommerce "single" template content (I did NOT add this to my template.). Everything below "Description" but above "Related products" is the content from my custom template (I DID add this to my template.). Everything below "Related products" is standard WooCommerce again (I did NOT add this to my template.).
I did set the "WooCommerce Views plugin default single product template" in "WooCommerce Views". And my template is set as the "product" template on the Toolset dashboard and on the product in question. It looks like it's keeping the default WooCommerce template and sticking my custom template into the description tab.
It might be a compatibility issue, please check these:
1) Make sure you are using the latest version of Toolset plugins, you can download them here: https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
2) deactivate all other plugins, and switch to wordpress default theme 2020, and test again
Thanks for the details, please edit the problem post "Canon imagePROGRAF TA-20 24" Wide-Format Printer": hidden link
In section "Content Template", choose an option, for example: Template for Machine Products
Save the post, and test again, it works fine in my localhost.
If you want to batch update the exsisted prudcuct posts, you can try these:
Dashboard-> Toolset-> Content Templates
Find and edit the specific content template, for example "Template for Machine Products":
in section "Usage", click button "Change usage", there is a botton "Bind 163 posts"
The template is already set to "Template for Machine Products". But I did change it to something different and back again. It's still showing the page incorrectly. The top portion with the add to cart button should not be there and the related products at the bottom should also not be there. Any ideas?
In my localhost, with your database dump file + fresh wordpress installation + the latest version of Toolset plugins + Woocommerce plugin, there isn't the problem you mentioned above:
- add to cart button
- related products at the bottom
See screenshot: canon-imageprograf.JPG
So it should be a compatibility problem of your website, I suggest you double check these:
Dashboard-> Toolset-> WooCommerce Views
option "Product Template File", choose: WooCommerce Views plugin default single product template (single-product.php)
If you need assistance to locate the problem, please provide a test site with the same problem, fill below private message box with login details and FTP access, thanks
Thank you very much for your assistance. I found the problem. There was an error in the functions.php file. Not sure why the problem persisted when I switched to the 2020 theme but it's fixed now.
