How do I translate with WPML only the checkboxes title, while keeping the stored value the same for all languages?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

As explained in our documentation ( ref: https://toolset.com/course-lesson/how-to-prepare-the-site-to-run-multilingual/ ), if you'll go to WP Admin -> WPML -> String Translation, you'll see the checkboxes type fields' titles as well as the values, under the domain "plugin Types".

You can translate only the titles and leave the values as it is.

regards,
Waqar

Ok, thanks.
Just to be sure:
Let's say I have a checkbox with title "Air conditioner" and "air-conditioner" as saved value.
I translate only the german title to "Klimanlage".

Do I get also "air-conditioner", as saved value, when I retrieve the post with the german translation?

Thanks for writing back and yes your understanding is correct.

If you'll get the checkbox field's value in the German translation, you'll get the "air-conditioner", as it was not translated.

But, if you'll get the title, you'll get "Klimanlage".

Ok, perfect. Thank you very much for your help.
