Dear Sir/Madam,

I installed the WPML and Toolset Type, I create a custom post type "Workshop" and a custom field about zoom meeting information. Traditional Chinese is the default language, I override with Chinese (Traditional) content but only the featured image, title, body is copied but none of the custom fields, I do enable the translatable - Use translation if available or callback to the default language.

Please advise whether this is Toolset issue or WPML issue? How can I fix it?

Best regards,

Kelvin.

Hello Kelvin and thank you for contacting Toolset support.

Well, that is not a Toolset or WPML issue. I suspect that the custom fields are just not configured to be copied.

The "Use translation if available or fallback to the default language" is for custom post types, rather than custom fields. The custom fields settings can be set on a post's edit screen or in WPML->Settings->Multilingual Content Setup(tab)->Custom Fields Translation.
Check this article https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-fields/

Then, you will need to save the post again to force WPML to copy the fields into the translation(s).

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
