I created a new access group and applied it to a user. I then removed all permissions for that user to access a specific custom post type (R/W/etc..). However, when I login as that user they can still access that post type. What I'm trying to do is restrict access to the post type (as a whole) and then allow access to specific posts within that post type only. The problem is that there are 2,249 posts, out of which only a handful need to be visible to this group either from within views or through CRED via dynamic select fields.

Are there any known issues that would cause this to happen (posts still displaying even when the post type is restricted) - or - is there any issue with access restricted post types still being displayed to users either in views or cred when other relationships are setup. IOW, could this be an issue because this particular CPT is related to other CPTs that this user does have access to?

Hello,

The problem you mentioned above is abnormal, please check these:
1) Make sure you are using the latest version of Toolset plugins, you can download them here:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

2) In case it is a compatibility problem, please deactivate all other plugins, and switch to wordpress default theme 2020, deactivate all custom PHP snippets, and test again

3) Also check if there is any PHP error in your website:
https://toolset.com/documentation/programmer-reference/debugging-sites-built-with-toolset/

4) If the problem still persists, please provide database dump file(ZIP file) of your website, you can put the package files in your own google drive disk, share the link only, also point out the problem post URL and user name, I need to test and debug it in my localhost, thanks
