[Resolved] “this block contains unexpected or invalid content”

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Sometimes we see blocks "break" and feature the message "this block contains unexpected or invalid content"

What do I do?

Solution:
Report the issue to our support, at best with the steps you use to reach the issue, and meanwhile, you can attempt a block recovery like shown here:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/this-block-contains-unexpected-or-invalid-content/#post-1395193

Note, the issue usually points to a real issue in the plugins or theme, so reporting it would be a good approach to avoid future problems

You are most welcome.

I'll update you here when I have news (and facts to show).

This is now released, please let me know if you can also confirm this fix?

That's great - I saw the updates come out last night and installed them as soon as they dropped. I'll try the new blocks editor and see if it solves the issue here.

So I have a mixture of layouts and block templates in this site - if I want to migrate completely to the new blocks editor, will there be any issues with just deactivating layouts plugin and replacing the templates?

I suggest referring to "The Old Vs. New Workflows" on https://toolset.com/2019/12/toolset-blocks-1-0-build-beautiful-dynamic-sites-quickly-and-easily/

We would suggest mixing the two as less as possible and focussing on Gutenberg/Blocks with new designs.

There will also be a tutorial made to understand better how to do things in Gutenberg versus the older workflow.
This, however, will require some more time.

Sorted for now.
