Please try these:
Dashboard-> Toolset-> WordPress Archives, edit any of them, in section "Editor", click link "Switch to block editor", and test again.
It works fine with your duplicator package
Yes, I'm seeing that is working, so I can at least edit in the block editor that way. But how do I get to your legacy editor? I'm also doing the development work for the hidden link website and getting help from you under a different user account. I've developed an archive in there that's using your legacy editor. I want to just copy and paste the code from that archive here and adjust as needed for this site, but I can't get to the legacy editor here for reasons unknown.
You are working on a ticket for me with the other site regarding fatal errors we're getting on that website. The same thing is happening on this site, so I'm planning to apply whatever solution you find to both sites. I'm having all kind of problems with getting to your different editors as needed. Hopefully I'll reach a point of better comfort with learning everything soon. I just keep having things happen that I can't explain and that's making it harder for me to learn. Thanks for all your help.
If you want to use legacy editor to setup the Toolset WordPress Archive, please try these:
1) Dashboard-> Toolset-> Settings-> General, in section "Editor to use for WordPress Archives", choose option "Classic Editor"
2) Dashboard-> Toolset-> WordPress Archives, create new one and test again
OK, that worked to get me into the Legacy Editor. Thanks for that as that will get me through this current need. I also see that I can switch to the Block Editor from within there. The last thing I need to ask is if I switch to the Block Editor, how do I get back to the Legacy Editor from there? When I click the three dots in the Block Editor top right area and then click Switch to Classic Editor, it doesn't take me back to your Legacy Editor. It takes me back to the WordPress Editor.
I have found that some things are better done with your Legacy Editor but then there are other things that need the block editor. There are some things done in the Legacy Editor that I can't figure out how to do the same thing in the Block Editor. So being able to switch back and forth is best. I know there is that warning saying they aren't compatible and that content will be reset, but I haven't learned yet what exactly happens when you switch from the Legacy Editor to the Block Editor and back with existing content.
I think there is a misunderstanding, when you edit a Toolset WordPress Archive, you can not switch from Block Editor to Legacy Editor back and forth, you can setup it with either Block Editor or Legacy Editor.
The link "Switch to block editor" is provided by other plugin "Classic Editor", it is not a feature of Toolset plugins, and won't work as expected if you use "Classic Editor" plugin to edit the Toolset WordPress Archive.
Oh, that might be why I'm having these problems then. I thought switching was provided by your plugin. That makes sense then when I click to return to the classic editor, it is taking me to that WordPress edit page not your legacy editor. OK, so it's either/or and that is decided when I first start to edit. I'll just have to figure out which is better for my needs on each archive individually. I know there was one thing I wanted to do that could be done in the block editor, but not the legacy editor, but then I set it up in the block editor, pulled the HTML code from that and put that into the legacy editor and it worked. That's what I think I'm going to have to do for some of this, not knowing the HTML code needed myself. There are things we've set up that are just a lot easier for me in the legacy editor. I find that the block editor is very unpredictable in how it works and I have more problems accomplishing things I'm trying do with it. But for some things it is better. Ok, we can call this resolved then. Thanks for the explanation and your patience with me. Sorry I'm not getting everything as quickly as I'd prefer.
My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
