This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hello,

I've tried Googling this, wondering if you can point me in the right direction, please.

I have a taxonomy. When editing that taxonomy, I've given it a custom field so I can upload images. All good so far.

I want to display those images as a slider on the taxonomy archive page.

I figure I need to do this with the legacy 'views' interface? I can't seem to do it with blocks. So I've enabled that.

I've had a go but I just can't seem to get my head around it.

I there a forum post or a guide you can point me to?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Your understanding is correct and the taxonomy views are only supported in the legacy/classic views editor.

As there is no built-in slider functionality available for the legacy/classic views, you'll need to use some third-party slider script.

For example, if your website is loading the Bootstrap 4 library, you can use its "carousel" feature:

Alternatively, you can use the "JQuery lightSlider" script:
