Tabs and Accordions on pages do not work, scroll to top of screen

This support ticket is created 3 years, 5 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I am trying to: Use tabbed content on Toolset managed pages - up until a month or so ago they worked fine

Scroll to the bottom where I've added a couple of test tabs to the page Layout/Template (I had to remove the original tabs and restructure the content as users could not access some content/buttons)

I expected to see:
The tabs should switch successfully

Instead, I got:
Scrolling to the top of the page

I've disabled every plugin and retried, but no difference.

I'm using a customised theme based on Ocean WP - if I switch to the native Ocean WP then the problem persists. If I switch to a default WP theme (eg 2019, 2021) then the tabs work as expected.

I appreciate it's likely related to the theme, but this worked for over a year successfully and something has now interfered - I think I can rule out plugins, so I'm at a loss to explain what's causing the issue.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

This seems to be related to the difference in the Bootstrap version.

The markup of the tabs used on the page is for the "Bootstrap 3", but, the website is loading Bootstrap 4.

Please go to WP Admin -> Toolset -> Settings -> General and select "Toolset should load Bootstrap 3" option for the "Bootstrap loading" setting and see if this fixes it.
