Hi,

My Q2 is:
I prefer not to add also an Excerpt to every each Book, cutting manually the Body content.
AFAIK only Excerpts can be cut by words, but that would be great to be able to cut any multiline text that way.
So could you have also a workaround?

I mean I'd like to set and use something like that ( but Block Editor is preferred !):

what can be set for excerpt, but not for another multiline select types, eg for post body or any CPT (custom post type) multiline text:

If you do not have post excerpt field added to your post and you will set to display post excerpt field, the settings you set to display with post excerpt field will be applied on post content (body) field.

You can add a "Single Field" block to your view to display the post excerpt and restrict it with the character or word count. Please check the following screenshot: hidden link

Note: yes, there is no option to restrict the content for other multiline custom fields. You are welcome to add a feature request.
